Campaign financing is off the charts across the country, with Connecticut candidates raising over $11 million.
The CT Mirror did an in-depth report on political donations in the state.
From the story: "The Mirror analysis also found that congressional candidates raised a lot of their campaign funds from donors outside the state – New York and Washington, D.C., followed Greenwich as the sources of the most donations. Political action committees, or PACs, also played a huge role. PACs donated about $4.3 million to congressional candidates, mostly to incumbents.
