Eresian, bank spar over ownership of apt. buildings

A Shrewsbury man has been presenting himself as the landlord of two large apartment buildings on Main Street for nearly a year — collecting thousands of dollars a month in rental income — despite having never made a single payment on the mortgage, property taxes or water and sewer bills, according to court records.

Known for his prolific filing of lawsuits and appeals that often result in court sanctions against him, Ara Eresian Jr. used a Wyoming shell company to gain control of the four-story, brick apartment buildings at Main and Hitchcock streets by buying an interest in the trust that owned the buildings, but had defaulted on the mortgage.
