Leak of confidential documents reveals corporate tax evasion

Thirty five companies — including Disney and Skype — have been exposed for making "secret tax deals" in Luxembourg to evade payment of American and European taxes, according to “Lux Leak” documents obtained by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists. The use of corporate tax maneuvers like these may cost the United States Treasury billions of dollars.

From the story: "Disney and Koch Industries, a U.S.-based energy and chemical conglomerate, both created tangles of interlocking corporations in Luxembourg that may have helped them slash the taxes they pay in the U.S. and Europe, according to the documents obtained by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists."
