For High School Students

Whether you’re an aspiring high school journalist working on your school paper or someone who’s wondering if journalism might interest you, The New England Center for Investigative Reporting's summer workshop is a perfect opportunity to learn and explore. Our journalism program, intended for high school students interested in investigative reporting, gives students an opportunity to experience investigative journalism through an intensive workshop. Students also investigate our exciting campus- the city of Boston!

For College Students, Recent Graduates and Professional Journalists

NECIR’s Investigative Reporting Certificate program is a unique training opportunity at Boston University’s College of Communication for college students, journalists, and individuals interested in investigative reporting. The program provides participants with the chance to learn in-depth investigative reporting skills by working side-by-side with experienced, award-winning investigative reporters. Our program is designed for individuals looking to expand their current skill set, enhance their resume, and learn about this important aspect of journalism.


Internships

The New England Center for Investigative Reporting, a pioneering new model of journalism based at Boston University’s College of Communication, accepts applications for the summer, fall and winter semester interns.
